Antiwar rally fills Horton Plaza and surrounding streets

Tens of thousands protested the U.S. war in San Francisco on the Global Day of Action, joining millions of others in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, and across Europe in Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Norway, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Poland, Finland, Ukraine, and Denmark. People protested the war in Middle Eastern capitals, Turkey, Japan, the Philippines, Korea, and Australia.
