Rally listens to Walter Johnson of the
San Francisco Council of Labor promise to help organize a march on the
White House.

The hottest day ever recorded in San Francisco on
October 25th was 86 degrees, but Saturday's protest held up in a windless
90 degree blaze. Thousands massed in front of the city hall to hear
reminders of how much money the U.S. Government is draining from the future
of its citizens to pay for conquest of the Middle East.
People came to let the world and President Bush know they oppose U.S.
aggression, an end to the waste and destruction of other countries and our
own. They want the troops home now.
