Our guest today, Antonia Juhasz, is a policy-analyst, author and activist living in San Francisco. She is a Fellow at Oil Change International and Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Policy Studies. She has taught at the New College of California and is a guest lecturer on U.S. Foreign Policy at the McMaster University Labour Studies Program in Canada. Antonia is author of The Bu$h Agenda: Invading the World, One Economy at a Time. Her new book, The Tyranny of Oil: the World's Most Powerful Industry, and What we Must do to Stop It, will be released by HarperCollins Publishers in September 2008. In two half-hour interviews, Antonia explains what the Bush Agenda is and how it represents a dramatic thrust into the Middle East, seeking to change laws and economic relations entirely so that corporations can gain complete control of the oil power of the region and maintain that power far beyond the life of the Bush Administration. Because of her experience as a policy analyst, both inside and outside our Federal government, Antonia is able to know where to research the details of our economic invasions. She can trace the decisions and limitations of the powerful as they try to reshape our world for their benefit. |
